I bought and read this book a couple of years ago. It is a nice book. As you have mentioned its a revision of history.

They often say history is written by the victorious, but in the case of Mongolian history, their history is written by those who were defeated by Mongols like the Chinese, the Persians, the Russians, and the Arabs. All presenting them as barbaric, Jack Weatherford challenges that narrative, and that is why this book is very important to read.
