It is a learning process for the Russians too. There were defeats and setbacks when Russia fought during the WII and when it fought our western proxy Mujahideen in Afghanistan. A few tanks added to the heavily armed Ukrainians would not change much. I do not see any military solution; diplomatic efforts should be mounted as soon as possible.
Sun Tzu also said, "know yourself and know your enemy; in a hundred battles, you will be victorious." With the current level of censorship of Russian media in the West and the one-sided view that the West holds, I wonder if the West knows Russia.
