It is more complicated than this simple verse. Of course, you will find such a verse in the Quran, but you will also find many other verses about human dignity and the importance of justice. Add to that Hadith (prophet's words) and Sunnah (prophet's deed). You will find contradictory sayings and deeds. Add to that Muslim treatment of women throughout history; you will find vast differences across times and spaces.
My point is that textual Islam and lived experiences of Muslim are so rich that you can find examples of history and texts to justify your current worldview. The point is not that you cannot find such examples in Muslim texts and history; the fact is that the Taliban are picking verses or practices that justify their current policies and misogyny. The Taliban are extremists, and they are cherry-picking such extremist examples.
