Not BBC; check Taliban outlets. If you cannot read Persian, Pashtu, or Arabic, they write in English and publish in all these languages.

There is no doubt that I am anti-Taliban and the ideology that it espouses. I have also benefited from the US intervention, not that I have received cash in my pocket. The US intervention brought stability that provided the environment for private education, which started in Kabul and other cities, where I studied at a private school. I was 12 years old when I started school in 2001; during the previous Taliban regime, I did not have the opportunity to go to school, though I lived in the capital, Kabul. If you know any private schools in Kabul, check what has happened to them. They cannot sustain themselves because they practically lost half of their students. You cannot hear this from BBC or CNN, so you need to talk to a few people from these private schools.

Private school is only an example. You can check other industries for yourself. Let alone the political oppression and the restriction of rights and liberties and executions. Or the barbaric cutting of peoples' hands, which takes place weekly; the Taliban themselves announce that they have cut these many hands here and slashed these many women there. You do not need to take my word.

I scout Afghanistan media for stories about women that deserve wider attention. Whatever I earn on Medium, 50% will be donated to educating children in Afg.
