Stoic advice proved not to be very effective for me, honestly. I get devastated when bad things, such as bombings, occur, and unfortunately, it happens a lot in Afghanistan. Each time a bombing occurs, I am literally out of work for at least one month. I cannot concentrate or work or read or do anything.
