You do not need to accept what this piece conveys. But perhaps you need to follow news that comes out of Afghanistan more closely. Also, the Taliban are behaving like any other authoritarian regime, only with more emphasis on implementing the extremist interpretation of a religion. So if one knows a little how an authoritarian regime behaves, then this piece becomes easy to resonate with.
